CafeWell is a social network for bridging the gap between your health plan and you. Their goal is to get you well and keep you there. They partner with large health plans like Altius to provide their members with great health programs such as Reach for the Peaks where members participate in a wireless pedometer program that helps them become and stay more active.
CafeWell wants to help educate it's members on healthcare and more fully understand their health plans. They intend to do this by providing a safe, fun, and anonymous environment where you can improve your health. A program like Reach for the Peaks not only encourages regular activity and helps you get in shape, but also awards prizes and social acknowledgements to it's insured members.
CafeWell also provides free advice, tips, and even encouragement from Olympic Athletes and Health and Wellness/Diet and Nutrition specialists. If you sign up for CafeWell you can access these resources, ask questions, and even join challenges to help improve your life and state of being.
You can join by going to CafeWell and signing up!
Many participants have found this great, and provide their opinions (anonymous of course):
"I'm absolutely thrilled with this motivating program!"
"So today I'm taking a step forward to get off the couch and get healthy. I am overweight, underpaid, and not so full of energy. I know if I think I can, I CAN, and I WILL!"
Personally, I think this sounds like a great way to network yourself with other people in similar situations and get the support and motivation that can help so well in this journey of health we are all on together. I'm going to check it out! How about you?
