| Yes it's a bad bathroom mirror shot, but I look pretty! |
I realized all these good things though. I have been a NON-soda drinker for 6 months now! Also, I haven't had Candy in weeks. I still crave the candy now and again, but the willpower is strong. I don't crave soda at all, mostly just tea and water-which is good! :) Yay!
Anyway, in case you missed it, here are some of this week's highlights!
- Yesterday I announced my Let's Get Healthy Giveaway! You could win an entire box full of tools and goodies to help you on your goal to getting healthy. I'm excited!
- I learned a valuable lesson about cheat weekends and how you shouldn't overdo them.
- I'm starting to link up with Musical Mondays and share workout songs every week. This week was Starstrukk by 3OH 3! and Katy Perry.
- Kri from And Kristina Dies in the End bared her soul and talked about her Krohn's Disease and why she's decided to finally start eating healthy in a post called Life as I Know It. I'm so proud of you Kri!
- Kri also posted an inspirational post called Just Do It where she talked about her frustration with a Plateau and how ready she was to give up. But she's not going to.
- Heather at Wellness Without Pity posted her story about Intentional Health
- Amberly from Amberly Adventures posted her Weekly Wrap-Up about getting back into the swing of things, and offered some helpful suggestions that are helping her!
My question for you guys this week:
Have any of you done Weight Watchers?
Do you like it?
Also, how did you do this week?

I am starting week 5 of Weight Watchers... I have lost a total of 15 lbs in the first 4 weigh ins...
I have to tell you- I love it! I love the fact that I can eat WHATEVER I want- I just have to count the points... I do not feel deprived. It is working!!
i havent done weight watchers..im on alli u can also eat what u want but u have to keep it within 15g of fat per meal and snack so kinda like points i guess
awesome pic! i took one last week and it was in the bathroom too ha!
i tried ww and hated it because of all the rules/numbers/etc. but i know some people need that! and you look gorgeous! i need to try out some shapewear!
You look great Angie, I love that dress! I don't wear shape wear BUT I do wear camis with the built in bras under EVERYTHING, I feel like I'm spewing out and jiggling all over if I don't. I honestly don't know how people can go without SOMETHING, it just seems uncomfortable to me.
Good for you your accomplishments, looking back proves that you have the willpower to become a more healthy person!
I did Weight Watchers a couple of years ago, when I was about the weight I'm at now. I didn't like it. I didn't like the points system, I didn't like the meetings and more importantly I didn't like the cost. However, A LOT of people I know have had really great success with it so if you're looking for a specific diet plan program it's worth checking out. If you're just looking for the support or motivation then I would suggest looking into other weight loss groups that are out there.
I know all about the poverty and unhealthy eating. But don't forget I have that post about eating on $5/day, and how you can still do that somewhat healthily (as you did, avoiding processed foods.....you go, girl!). :D
I lost a pound last weel, which surprised me given how much I cheated on food and booze last weekend. But I'm exercising every day this week so far, and keeping my caloric intake to 1500/day, so hopefully it wasn't a fluke loss.
I DID try Weight Watchers for almost a year.
It took a lot of my money.
I didn't feel supported in either of the two groups that I joined (nobody made an effort to befriend me, though the staff was nice).
I followed EVERYTHING to the letter because I really wanted to lose weight.
I gained ten pounds.
So I can't in good conscience recommend that route, though I've been told it has worked for other gals. *shrug*
I can recommend Curves for Women, if you have one nearby. It's not nutrition so much, more workout and support, but I lost weight and inches both times I've been signed up there. Best of luck!
Oh, and also...what brand shapewear do you use? I have none, and want to try it out....thanks! :D
You look great!! Love that dress.
I did Weight Watchers on my own a couple times and lost quite a bit both times, but I didn't manage to keep it off. I don't think it was the right fit for me. It's been amazing for other people I know though.
i started with weight watchers and it does work! it's expensive.
